Monday was the day on which I wanted to make full use of my Boleta Integral. I combined it with a long walking tour and visiting Inca Ruins. So I started at 7:00 and climbed the road and stairs to Saccsayhuaman, about 45 min from my hotel. A huge site with a lot of stones, but in the Inca way stones are something special. Cut out of rocks they fit those stones exactly to each other. You can not push a needle between them. Some of those stones weigh more than a ton. Per stone it should have taken months to get ready. The Incas had enough workers to do this job, they simply put the defeated people on this work. It was a kind of brainwash and teambuilding (getting familiar with the Inca culture).
I visited, walking, 3 other places: Q'enqo (a temple for 'The Inca'), Puca Pucara (a fortress) and Tambomachay (a bathing place for 'The Inca'). When I mention 'The Inca' then the emperor himself is meant. Those places were beautiful to visit. I took the bus to Pisaq (about 25 km). There was no seat anymore in the bus, so on arrival a was very tired and needed some rest (roads are acceptabel, but the bus shook me completely). Pisaq is a nice town in the Urubamba valley with a nice 'artisanal' market. At last I decided also to visit the ruins in Pisaq, although it was already late. I rather would not have missed this. Really impressive.
I think from now on my pictures will be very 'stoney'.
Today I walked about 7 hours, good alternative of not being able to do my daily sports.
At night I went to folkloristic dances in Cusco.
I think after all the Boleta Integral was a success.
